Allen Stewart, a local New Yorker, Principal Group Program Manager in the Windows Product Group and long time virtualization expert will be in town to present on Windows Server 2012 at Thursday night’s NY Enterprise Windows Users Group. The meeting will be held on Thursday October 4th at Microsoft’s New York City Offices at 1290 Avenue of the Americas on the 6th floor at 6 PM.
Allen Stewart is a Principal Group Program Manager in the Windows Server and System Center Group. Allen leads the Customer Engineering Team which is responsible for ensuring new Windows Server and System Center releases have the highest level of pre-release deployment and integration validation before RTM. Allen and his team is deeply engaged in planning activities for all new Windows Server and System Center releases representing customer requirements across the spectrum of customer segments and industries. Allen has expertise in architecting Cloud Infrastructure, virtualization technologies, virtualization management, and Low Latency scenarios. Allen is a Microsoft Certified Architect, and he is on the board of directors of the Microsoft Certified Architect Program. Allen is also co-author of the book “Inside Hyper-V” from Sybex Press.
Allen is a phenomenal speaker and recently presented at the Technical Decision Maker track of the Windows Server 2012 launch event in NYC when I was presenting the IT Pro track of the same event. Allen will be doing a deep dive on Windows Server 2012 including much of the new virtualization goodness that is included in Windows Server 2012 as well as various Windows Server 2012 scenarios and features. Bring tough questions and have them answered by a member of the Microsoft Server Engineering team.
