BlueHat Security Briefings

Announcing BlueHat v12

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

The days are getting shorter, the holidays are getting nearer, and looming on the horizon are a trio of 12’s – it’s almost time for the 12th BlueHat Conference, on tap for the twelfth month of 2012. We have a terrific lineup of speakers from both inside and outside the company; there’s nothing much we can do about the weather in Seattle in mid-December, but indoors we have compelling work to do on making the cloud, mobile devices, the Internet, and the rest of the computing ecosystem, safer for customers.

Beliefs from an Ex-softy

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Jared Pfost here. I’m fired up to present at BlueHat. I really appreciate Noelle reaching out so it was a no brainer when asked to spin up a blog post. One thing that keeps popping up is my status as a former blue badge. Actually I’m a former twice over. One tour pre bubble and one post, or I like to think of it as pre/post the TWC memo.

BlueHat v11

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Jeremiah Grossman here. BlueHat is one of my favorite conferences of the year, and it’s one of the few I’ve consistently kept coming back to. The organizers put together an amazing event with consistently top-quality content, where the attendees are not only security people, but a legion of software developers who have a genuine interest in security – because their employer (Microsoft) does.

Evolving to meet future challenges

Wednesday, November 02, 2011

Growth and change can come in big doses or small increments. That can be professional or organizational growth or technical or societal change. Since we started doing BlueHat waaay back in 2005, I’ve seen some significant change at Microsoft, experienced a fair bit of professional and personal growth, and witnessed stunning technical and social change.

Announcing BlueHat v11: We fight for the user!

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

It seems like we only just had BlueHat v10, but already BlueHat v11 is less than a month away. Our schedule is ready, the banners are printed, and now seems like a great time to give some more detail on what’s coming up. As you probably know already, BlueHat is an invitation-only conference where security experts get to mingle with Microsoft’s own security team and core product groups.

Getting Into Information Security Intelligence Gathering: A BlueHat v10 Retrospective from Speakers Ian Iftach Amit and Fyodor Yarochkin

Tuesday, November 02, 2010

Ian: Having a mild case of “professional ADHD” is probably what got me started on this whole “cyber” thing. Having done research, development, integration and consulting in the past, I was starting to get too many unanswered questions in my mind when dealing with customers and individuals who were being compromised left and right.
