AI の研究・開発が世界的な規模で進み、実際にビジネスシーンで AI を活用する取り組みも本格化する中、一方では、導入に対してある種の不安や抵抗を抱いている人も少なくありません。その理由としてよく耳にするのが「お金がかかるだけで、大した効果は望めないだろう」との意見です。これは「流行物は廃り物 (急激な流行は、間もなく衰退する)」という言葉にもあるように、安易なブーム便乗への警戒感を示しているとも言えますが、果たして実際のところはどうなのでしょうか。今回も引き続き本記事の掲載に先立って行った調査結果※1をもとに、IPA (独立行政法人情報処理推進機構) の古明地 正俊 (こめいち まさとし) 氏にご指摘をいただきながら、探っていきましょう。
