Microsoft Virtual
Machine Converter (MVMC) provides a Microsoft-supported, freely available,
stand-alone solution for converting VMware virtual machines and virtual disks
to Hyper-V-based virtual machines and virtual hard drives (VHDs). This tool
simplifies low-cost, point-and-click migration of Windows Server 2008 R2,
Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003 SP2/R2 SP2, Windows 7, and Windows
Vista guest operating systems from VMware to Hyper-V. The tool can convert and
deploy virtual machines to Hyper-V on Windows Server 2012.
