This year's finalists for this global student technology competition get to visit Microsoft headquarters in Redmond and experience some of the things that make Seattle, the Emerald City, so great. I look forward to seeing the work of these inteeligent students so check it out and follow along….

Friday, August 1st, 8:30am Pacific: Imagine Cup World Championships

Thanks to Microsoft Channel 9, this climactic event will stream live worldwide, from the Washington State Convention Center. You can watch from your desk from the Imagine Cup homepage.  Don’t miss this — it ends with the three top student teams competing live on stage for our panel of judges: Satya Nadella, Code.org founder Hadi Partovi, and Reddit GM Erik Martin.

The overall winning team takes home the Imagine Cup and gets a private meeting with Bill Gates!

It’s going to be an intense showdown and I hope all of you check it out.
