Blain’s Palm Tree Farm – Project 2 – Post 4 of 5 – Tree Planting

Tree planting began in what we call Zone 1.  There are 4 Zones making up 2 phases for the large tree silviculture operation. It took us almost 5 weekends to physically dig the hole by hand and plant the trees.  I drove my Quadrunner for moving the dirt that we put in the holes along with millorganite and cow manure. We have 600 trees in different row counts.  You have to be extra careful when handling the trees or you will soon have many puncture wounds.  Below are some of the trees in rows. Next  - the irrigation!
