#MEGA #Mobile at #Microsoft

By Claire Lee

If you are signed up for the Mobile track @Mega this weekend (starting tomorrow) we have a load of awesome expert engineers landing on our campus to talk to you about Windows 8 and Windows Phone. You can still sign up to attend the Windows 8 pre-session from the registration page (scroll down to choose one) or Kinect for Windows if you’re signed up for Gaming.

Then there’s Windows Phone…

You heard about the new Nokia? Well if you’re looking to develop a phone application as part of your Startup Weekend project, this is a great start. Come and meet our phone dudes (Warren, Kevin and Reza) on Friday, 3-5pm. This session will take any developer from a cold start to being ready to start developing their application on Windows Phone 7.

You will see why WP7 is the best choice for developing a quality application *FAST*. You might even get to play with (and keep) a Nokia handset during the weekend hackathon. Please arrive at 2pm (sessions go 3-5pm) and don’t forget: Friday training should be purchased in addition to your ticket for Mega Startup Weekend.

We promise Friday 13th April will be a good day. No horrors.

    Dear Friends,
I’m Gurubijak, the co-founder of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture, and I have lived with multiple sclerosis for nearly 40 years. I had my first MS attack in 1971, but wasn’t diagnosed until two years later when I lost permanent sight in my left eye. In those days,
MS was a very difficult diagnosis to make and there were no treatments for the disease. There are times when it’s been frustrating like when I couldn’t do even the simplest task like brushing my own hair. But I’ve always had the philosophy that you make the
best of what you have. Getting MS was something I couldn’t control, so I decided early on I wouldn’t let it stop me from living a full life
