Tell us who you are and your role in the company:

I run the company as its Chief Executive.

What did you do before creating your company?

I worked as Marketing Analytics consultant for Fair Isaac and started a Analytics Consulting firm Marketelligent as its founding member. Earlier I did my engineering in Computer Science from NIT Durgapur.

How do you feel being the most promising ‘Startup of the Day’ per Microsoft BizSpark?

I am very happy to be here. Microsoft has given us great facility as a part of BizSpark program, and I feel glad to have delivered as expected.

What is your company’s mission?

We are data people and our mission is “Integration of world Data to bring total transparency”. There are 3 big problems we would like to solve – one is integration of all public utility and consumer data, second is integration of these utility data with market and economic parameters, third is to connect the Web and Non-web data.

In 140 characters or less, tell us what your company does:

We are a Social Media brand management company and our flagship product is Buzzom, which is social media app for engagement, marketing campaign and brand monitoring.

How did you get the idea for your company?

I always wanted to be an Entrepreneur. When I got my friends to join me, I started it. We started the company as a MIS Reporting and Analytics company, and built a Web based reporting engine called Scoop. WE failed to sell it and we went ahead and launched an Economic Reporting portal for US as F-Cube. To market this both in Social Media, we built Buzzom. Later Buzzom got good success in the market, and we decided to take it forward as our major offering.

Tell us about your funding history. Are you currently looking for funding? If so, how much?

We are self funded so far, and are looking to raise $ 2M as investment.

How many employees do you have? How many developers?

We are total 15 people, among them 8 are developers.

Are you hiring? If yes, what are you hiring for and where?

We are planning to hire few Engineers.

Which platform are you building on?Why?

Majority of work is in .NET. There are few modules built in Java and other Open Source Technologies.

Where do you see opportunities today in the Software/Internet area?

There is huge market untapped in Internet Space. Search is one big problem, which is only partly solved. Social Media and Smartphone revolution has lately introduced many new challenges to the internet ecosystem; the application market to cater this need is huge.

What do you think about the BizSpark Program?

It is the biggest boon for the start-ups like ours. Most start-ups die because of lack of funds to buy costly Software and Hardware. But with BizSpark support, when companies get all necessary Software for FREE for 3 years, their chances of survival increases.

Do you have any advice for young Software entrepreneurs?

Be bold and move ahead. Remain in the market and believe in your vision. Success is yours.

Who’s your role model?

I have companies rather than persons. 3 companies I admire the most are Samsung, Microsoft and Google.

What’s the ONE THING you would like readers to take away from this interview?

InRev Team is doing smaller things now, but they are a part of a very big vision. We promise the bring a NEW Information Revolution to the World. If you want to part of this journey, we welcome you. You can be part of us as investor, partner, advisor, evangelist, employee, or client. We value all our stakeholders equally.
