Who are you?

Co-founder.

How do you feel being the most promising ‘company of the day’ per Microsoft?

All of us at HealthSaaS.net are very proud and honored to be the most promising company of the day for Microsoft. We look forward to driving joint product, and service revenue with Microsoft and other Microsoft Partner companies.

What did you do before creating your company?

Co-founded and managed a systems integration and software development company that was one of Microsoft’s first 500 partners, Global Account Manager at Oracle, Global Business Development Manager in the Enterprise Partner Group at Microsoft in Redmond, and Director of Strategic Alliances for Symphony Services.

What do you sell?

We offer a fee based private label service for hospitals and other healthcare providers, clinical trials and research study services. We also offer fee based analytics services to help clinical researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and payors improve efficiencies.

What is your company’s mission?

"To improve the quality of life for those suffering from acute or chronic pain"

HealthSaaS.net will grow by recruiting and developing revenue or enhanced service opportunities for community, industry, ISV, SI, and OEM Partners.

How many employees do you have? How many developers?

Nine employees including five developers.

Are you hiring? If yes, what? Where?

We will be hiring college interns for web development over the summer.

Which platform are you building on? Why?

Microsoft .NET 3.51, Visual Studio 2008, Silverlight 2.0, Expression Blend, Expression Web. We develop and deploy on the Microsoft platform because of seamless product integration, reliability and scalability.

Who’s your role model?

My parents who are both entrepreneurial and have been very supportive of this project.

Where do you see opportunities today in the Software/internet areas?

Software as a Service/Web 2. 0/Web 3.0 applications that incorporate a Software Plus Services strategy.

Looking for funding? If yes, how much?

We are looking for angel funding, $750,000.

HealthSaaS.net is very pleased to be part of the BizSpark program. Our MSDN subscription, access to the development tools, server licenses, and support has been a huge cost savings.

Any advice to young Software entrepreneurs?

DARE TO DREAM, be prepared to work long hours, every day, for an indefinite period of time, be disciplined, confident, and run your business with honesty and integrity.
