Microsoft 365 Business Adds New Security Features

Over on the Microsoft 365 blog today there was a new announcement about the availability of new capabilities that have been added to Microsoft 365 Business. Capabilities added to Microsoft 365 business include Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection, Exchange Online Archiving, Azure Information Protection P1 and full Intune capabilities.

If you have an existing Microsoft 365 Business tenant you may have noticed that some of these new capabilities have been lighting up under Users license assignments.

To access some of these new capabilities head over to the Security & Compliance Admin Center.

Here you can find where you can configure the appropriate Policy requirements for these new capabilities, along with some of the others you have probably worked with previously, including the Anti-Spam settings.

Full Intune capabilities are an important part of this release, meaning you now get MDM capabilities for iOS and Android rather than just MAM, and you also get MacOS support. These capabilities are available through Intune in the Azure Portal.

There's obviously much more to dig in to, but I'll save that for later posts.
