Azure Backup Enhancements For Windows Server

A recent announcement from the Azure team at Microsoft was preview support for backing up the Windows Server System State to Azure with Azure Backup.  It integrates with Windows Server Backup to allow ease of use for those of you already familiar with the Windows Server Backup tool. It's available in preview right now for Windows Server 2008 R2 through to Windows Server 2016.

The addition of System State support is an important one for smaller deployments, the choices for recovery was focused on file and folder at the server level, assuming that the base infrastructure had been re-established before restoring all of the data.
