Windows 10 and Windows 10 ADK Update available for download

The updated Windows 10 Assessment and Deployment Kit for the 1511 release is available for download, you can grab it here.

If you are looking at learning how to take advantage of the deployment options for OEMs and System Builders for Windows 10 you can also take a look at the OEM Windows Desktop Deployment and Imaging Lab which has three hardware configurations as target scenarios for testing purposes. If you are going to deploy the new build with System Center Configuration Manager, I strongly suggest you take a look at the following post to see why you should consider keeping the earlier build of the ADK in place. The labs included with the OEM Windows Desktop Deployment and Imaging lab are as follows.

  • Lab 1 Customize and install your first Windows image: Use Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) to customize a Windows image, save it to a USB drive, and use it to deploy to a PC or tablet. If you're new to Windows imaging and deployment, start here.

  • Lab 2: Classic-style deployment: This lab covers the classic-style deployment, using command line tools in the Windows ADK to customize and deploy a Windows image.

If you need default product keys to use with the images, these ones should allow you to perform automated preinstallations, but remember that they will not activiate.
