This course covers Microsoft Azure Backup, Windows 8.1 security and management, improving security with Windows Server 2012 R2, and availability and recoverability solutions with Windows Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server.

Setup Azure Backup
In this module you will setup and use Azure Backup to implement Azure Recovery Services for on-premises servers and VMs.

Using Group Policy to Secure Windows 8.1

Hyper-V Replica
In this module you will learn how implement Hyper-V Replica Extended Replication on Windows Server 2012 R2.

Configuring SQL Server 2014 AlwaysOn
AlwaysOn Availability Groups, introduced in SQL Server 2012 provide high availability for your application databases. Availability Groups allow you to failover a group of databases together and allow configuring multiple instances as replicas to which you can failover, thereby increasing redundancy and availability. The availability group involves a set of SQL Server instances, known as availability replicas. Each availability replica possesses a local copy of each of the databases in the availability group. Only one of these replicas acts as the primary replica at any point in time and maintains the primary copy of each database. The primary replica makes these databases, known as primary databases, available to users for read/write access. For each primary database, one or more availability replicas, known as secondary replicas, maintain a copy of the database and the database on a secondary replica is referred to as a secondary database.
