UWP apps on Xbox One developer preview now available

As announced earlier today at the Build 2016 conference, a developer preview is now available that allows you to use the newly released Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 to build, deploy and debug Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps on your retail Xbox One console.  This announcement is particularly exciting for me because I have been working on this functionality recently as a part of my job on the Xbox developer experience team, and I also worked on similar functionality for the Xbox 360 with XNA Game Studio.

If you’re interested in exploring how to develop UWP apps for your Xbox One, I encourage you to check out the following links for additional information about how to get started, troubleshoot issues you might face, etc:

If you run into issues that aren’t addressed by the information linked above, you can post questions on the UWP development forum or you can leave comments here and I’ll help as best as I can.
