John Marlin here again. I know it’s been a while, but it’s time to resurface.
In my dealings with a lot of Beta and TAP Customers, there are still some that still are on Windows Server 2016 TP5. I am here to say it is getting time to go ahead and upgrade to the released version. I say this as soon, you will not have an option.
Originally, the “timebomb” for every two-hour reboots were set for December 15, 2016. However, with the slip of release, this was moved back as well. As of February 28, 2017, TP5 servers have now “timebombed” and reboot every two hours. However, the expiration of Windows Server TP5 will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
So if you are still running on TP5 and have plans in place of moving off of it, please ensure those plans occur before mid-April.
