So what's next for App-V?

If I had to vote for what I thought was the single most common question I get on Microsoft App-V I think I'd have to vote for "When's 64-bit support coming?"  Actually that's my 'sanitized' version of the question but you get the idea.  And now that the Windows Server 2008 R2 beta is out and everyone realizes that this is going to be 64-bit only release the question becomes even more pressing.  So when is 64-bit coming? Here you go:

Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) will support 64-bit applications and platforms in H1 2010, with TAP availability expected in late 2009.

Now as much as I'd like to take credit for spilling the beans this was actually announced months ago at Teched EMEA and via the MDOP blog here

That's all I really know right now.  The demand for App-V is exploding and we're fully aware of the demand for 64-bit support so rest assured that we're working extremely hard to bring this to you as soon as possible.  As soon as more details become available you'll hear about them right here on the App-V blog.
