You receive a 0E-00002015 error when executing a virtual application's OSD for the first time

Here's another tip from Steve Thomas that he found during the 4.5 beta.  This is probably not something you'd run into on a regular basis but I wanted to mention it just in case:

========

Issue: You may receive the following error message (0e-00002015) when attempting to launch a App-V virtual application by double clicking application OSD file from the Virtual Application Server Content share (e.g. \\SoftGridServer\content\<application>.osd).

Application Virtualization Error
The Application Virtualization Client could not launch the application you requested.
You are not authorized to perform the selected operation. You must have ‘Add Application’ permissions
Error code: 450519-0B20530E-00002015

Cause: This behavior is to be expected if the application in question has never previously been launched on the particular client.  Since the application has not been launched at least once before, the client has not yet verified the permissions to the application thus causing the launch to fail.

Resolution: Refresh the Application Virtualization (App-V) 4.5 client in one of the following ways:

  1. Have the App-V user log off his profile and log back in, this will cause the App-V client to refresh the desktop.
  2. Launch the Application Virtualization Client and navigate to the Publishing Server node, highlight the server in the right hand pane and click on the circular icon on the Console toolbar.
  3. If the App-V client icon is in the system tray on the Desktop you may right click this icon and then choose Refresh from the context menu.

Thanks Steve!
