Warning 25017. The installation Program could not create the Active Directory marker object for the server

Here's an issue I've seen pop up a couple times so I thought it would be worth a heads up here.  They key takeaway?  Even if you get this warning when installing App-V, it doesn't actually cause the install to fail and Microsoft Application Virtualization will continue to work just fine.  Here's the skinny:

Issue: When installing the Microsoft App-V Streaming Server you may receive the follow error message (warning):

Warning 25017. The installation Program could not create the Active Directory marker object for the server. The account used to install did not have the sufficient rights to write to Active Directory or Active Directory was unavailable.

Cause: This can occur if the user account used to setup the streaming server does not have sufficient rights to write to Active Directory.

More Information: The App-V Streaming Server installer creates a Service Connection Point entry under the Computer object in AD that corresponds to the machine on which the Streaming Server is installed. Failure to write this entry will not cause the install to fail as registering the App-v server in Active Directory is optional.  It allows centralized management tools to locate the App-V server for inventory and management purposes and this should not otherwise affect the functioning of the product.

Resolution:   Well this one is easy assuming Active Directory is working properly.  You can either ignore the warning, use an account that does have rights to write to AD or grant the account being used the proper rights.  The choice is yours.

Enjoy!
