I just went through and updated 16 or more resources that were posted online a while ago regarding Windows Server 2003. Seems there was not enough context with the information that was appearing in TechNet regarding the Certificates Console (certmgr.msc). I also realized that the information would be easier to follow for many people if it were in a single article. I created the TechNet Wiki article Certificates Console. Anyways, the updates were made to the following documents to include a discussion on how to create your own Certificates Console and then manipulate the various views within:

For those who offered the feedback to bring about this update, I appreciate it! The widespread issue was caused when the help files from the Windows Server 2003 product were essentially published wholesale to the web without revision. There were links that would work on-the-box, like to open the Certificates Console (certmgr.msc) that did not even appear as links on the web. That left a lot of people confused.
